The MiniLand Feel to Learn Leaf Mirror says it is for 6+ months. My 4 month old grandchild likes looking in the mirror and chatting at the image, but otherwise, isn’t ready to handle the toy. Edit to add: At about 12 months my grand child did show interest in the mirror. She would look into it, then show it to me. But that only lasted a couple of days. Since then she has shown little interest in it.The shape of the toy is strange. It doesn’t really look like a leaf shape.The cloth area around the mirror does make a crackling sound when handled.The mirror comes covered with a protective plastic sheet which needs to be removed. I had some trouble finding an edge where I could get hold of the plastic to peel it off. Once the plastic is removed, the mirror is pretty good except that the image is distorted when the mirror is bent, but that would happen with any mirror.The attached tag says the toy can be machine washed but not machine dried. It also says to protect the mirror when washing, so I would probably put it in a mesh bag. For now, I’m just going to spot clean it.Compared to other, similar items, this one is priced a little high for what you get.
